COVETTING * EAMES SIDE CHAIR

Love this.
Seriously debating picking up these Eames look-a-likes from Kmart.

SEE + DO * LOUIS VUITTON and YAYOI KUSAMA

Refinery 29’s instagram photo featuring Yayoi Kusama for Louis Vuitton had me longing for my art school days this morning. Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama is the queen of pattern play using them in her paintings, sculptures, and environments. Naturally there’s an app to go along with this fun collaboration and a video here!

The Artist

Now if only I could afford a few pieces…

* My longing turned into extreme excitement after learning Yayoi Kusama’s work is on display at The Whitney in New York during my upcoming visit.

MAGGIE & JOEY’S FARM HOUSE INN WEDDING

Our friends were married recently at the amazing Farm House Inn and I pitched in to help with their big day. We did invitations, table number flags; little notes for well wishes, and treat bag stickers. Everything came together for a beautiful day that was both relaxed and fun. You can view all of the lovely professional photos here!

CALLIGRAPHY UPDATE

My Calligraphy class has come to a close so I thought I’d share a few photos of my progress. There‚Äôs a lot more to learn, but hopefully with practice I’ll put it all together and receive some nice results. Now I just have to find the time to practice and think of new projects…

Olafur Eliasson: One Way Color Tunnel made from triangular acrylic panels.
The colors and shapes in this installation are inspiring me to put pen to paper!

CALLIGRAPHY CLASS

I’ve signed up for a calligraphy class at Sam Flax and it starts today! It’s typical of me to take a class like this. One that’s hard to imagine being put to use in the real world, but I loved what Steve Jobs had to say about it. So I’m going for it.
I’ll be sharing photos via instagram!
